The GMC Canyon is a capable and well-respected midsize truck. And in August, GMC unveiled a new trim for the Canyon called the AT4X. This trim will offer advanced off-road performance and serious refinements and capabilities. The GMC Canyon will be the second model to offer the AT4X trim, and when it’s available, Concord and Keene drivers can pick it up at Key Chevrolet Buick GMC of Newport.

Off-Road Performance

The Canyon AT4X, or as GMC calls it, the vehicle of nowhere, is designed to be an off-roading beast. Powering this monster is a turbocharged 2.7-liter engine that produces 430 pounds of torque. The new Canyon AT4X also comes standard with 33-inch tires, DSSV dampers, an exclusive Baja drive mode, underbody skid plates, and front and rear e-lockers. Add in 10.7 inches of ground clearance, and the Canyon AT4X can conquer the harshest environments from the outset.

Interior Amenities

Inside the cabin of the new Canyon AT4X are a slew of advanced technologies along with an updated design. Most drivers will first notice the 11-inch fully digital instrument cluster and the 11.3-inch touchscreen. The upgraded touchscreen will provide an off-road performance display and built-in Google services.

On top of that, this model will also feature technology such as underbody cameras and a head-up display. The cameras have front-and-rear-facing views beneath the vehicle, and the system contains a special undercarriage washing system to keep its vision clear. As for the head-up display, this feature will present data to the driver without them having to look away from their usual viewpoints.
